After three years of study at Salisbury College of Art I went on to pursue a career in Graphic Design in London. On returning home to the West Country the beautiful land and seascapes have inspired me to put aside the computer and pick up the brushes.
I now work mainly with acrylics which lend themselves well to the subtleties of the ever changing mood and colours of the Landscape. Through my work I seek to interpret the qualities of energy and light, capturing moments in time and the interaction of my subjects with their surroundings.
Dorset has an abundance of inspirational subjects to paint but my passion at the moment is painting the sea and living so close to the coast I have the opportunity to study water in its many moods. I like to look at my subject from unusual angles, focussing on its patterns and movement, capturing the natural beauty of the ever changing sea.
I am a member of Artwey, a community of artists in the Weymouth, Portland & Dorchester area and exhibit regularly in Dorset.
